Certificates
I accept legal aid certificates. You may qualify for free legal services through Legal Aid Ontario, if you meet their eligibility criteria. Please contact legal aid to apply by calling 1-800-668-8258. If you retain through legal aid, all costs are paid by Legal Aid Ontario through their certificate system.
Private Payment
Plans
I do not charge an hourly rate when I am managing your case. Instead, I provide my clients with a quote of the expected total cost-plus applicable taxes. I discuss the legal issues with you and provide a breakdown of the anticipated costs. This is known as a block fee payment model. I then bill intermittently as work is completed according to a payment schedule that we negotiate.
Legal Opinions and Disclosure Review
You may want to manage your own case. If so, you may want a lawyer’s assistance to review the evidence in your case or to do a specific hearing or task. I provide these services at a rate of $200/hour. I will provide you with a quote before I start, so you know exactly what the cost will be.
All of the legal services provided by Edwardh Law are provided by a licenced lawyer.
